Acceptance
These terms govern use of the Labbrary website and its features. Using the platform means you accept them; if you do not accept them, do not use the platform. The current version is always the one posted here, dated at the top of this page.
Eligibility
The platform is intended for adults. By using it you represent that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher, and that you use it for personal, non-commercial purchase research unless Labbrary agrees otherwise in writing.
Platform scope
Labbrary evaluates consumer health tests as products: what they measure, what they omit, what they cost, and how their providers operate. The platform publishes editorial reviews, provider facts, topic guides, research articles, comparison tools, and a preference quiz. It does not sell tests, process orders, collect samples, or deliver results.
No medical relationship
Nothing on the platform creates a clinician relationship of any kind. Labbrary does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, does not interpret personal laboratory results, and does not recommend for or against testing for any individual's health situation. The medical disclaimer is part of these terms.
Informational content
All content is provided for general information and education. It reflects the sources available at the stated review dates and the published methodology, and it can lag reality when providers change products, prices, or policies. Content is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind, medical, legal, or financial.
Test and provider information
Facts about tests and providers are gathered from documentation, provider confirmation, and where stated, completed purchases, each labeled with its evidence state and verification date. Labbrary works to keep facts current and corrects errors through a published corrections route, but does not guarantee that any fact remains accurate at the moment you read it. Verify material facts, especially price, availability, and sample requirements, with the provider before purchasing.
Fit Score and Test Grade limitations
Test Grades are editorial opinions produced by applying the published methodology to the available evidence. Fit Scores are calculations describing how a test matches preferences you entered, and exist only in contexts where you provided them. Neither is a guarantee of quality, suitability, or outcome, neither is medical guidance, and a Fit Score never alters a Test Grade. Both can change as evidence and methodology change.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links, marked as such, and purchases through them may earn Labbrary a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never change grades, rankings, or coverage, as described in the affiliate disclosure, which is part of these terms. Using an affiliate link is never required to use the platform.
Third-party products and websites
Tests are manufactured, sold, and fulfilled by third parties under their own terms, policies, and prices. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; Labbrary does not control them and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Your relationship with a provider, including purchases, results, and disputes, is between you and that provider.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform. Prohibited uses include: scraping or bulk-extracting content or data without written permission; republishing substantial portions of the platform; misrepresenting Labbrary grades, scores, or content, including presenting a Fit Score as a medical assessment; interfering with the platform's operation or security; submitting false correction reports or fraudulent messages; and using the platform to violate any law.
Intellectual property
The platform's content, including reviews, grades, methodology text, design, and graphics, belongs to Labbrary or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view, print, and share links for personal use, and quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link. Any other reproduction or use requires written permission.
Availability and changes
The platform is provided as available. Features may change, pause, or end, content may be revised or removed, and these terms may be updated, with the posted date changing accordingly. Material changes to these terms will be flagged on this page.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the platform and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Statements of warranty disclaimer in this draft are placeholders pending attorney review and completion.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Labbrary will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform or reliance on its content. The scope and any cap of this limitation are marked For attorney completion and are deliberately not specified in this draft.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Labbrary harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the platform or violation of these terms, to the extent permitted by law. The final scope of this section is subject to attorney review.
Governing law
The governing law and venue for these terms are marked For attorney completion. No jurisdiction, arbitration clause, or dispute process is specified in this draft, and none should be inferred.
