  • Avoid opioid medications while using LDN (interferes with mechanism); avoid LDN within 4-6 hours of opioid-containing medication.
  • STOP LDN at least 48 hours before any surgical or diagnostic procedure requiring sedation; do not resume until at least 48 hours after finishing prescribed procedure medications.
  • Thyroid-medication users may need closer thyroid monitoring; stop and talk to provider if hyperthyroid symptoms develop.
  • Most common side effects: vivid dreams, mild anxiety, insomnia, headache (typically first 3-5 days).
